Keith E. FisherJanuary 6, 1930 ~ July 6, 2017 (age 87)
Age 87, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Vista Grande Villa’s Trellis Gardens under the loving care of his family and Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kay in 2005. Keith is survived by his beloved family; two children, Dennis Keith Fisher of Lake Columbia and Debora Kay Daniel of Florida; three grandchildren, Nicole Fisher, Chad Fisher and Brittanie Daniel, six great-grandchildren and brother, Roger (Ida) Fisher. He grew up in Mesick, MI and then served in the Air Force during the Korean War. While in the service, he was lead vocalist for the “Tops In Blue” USAF Show. Keith came to Jackson and worked for a time at Clark Equipment before returning to school to pursue a longtime career in education with the Jackson Public Schools as both an educator and administrator. He played baseball and basketball and was an avid fisherman and golfer. A longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, he has more recently attended St. Rita Catholic Church, 10516 Hayes Road, Clarklake, MI 49234 where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11 am. Interment will follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Jackson. A time of fellowship will be held after interment services at the Irish Hills Eagles, 9500 Wamplers Lake Road, where the Wilbert Bartlett American Legion Post Honor Guard will render military honors. Visitation will be held at Arthur-Day Funeral Home, 820 Fifth St., Michigan Center on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm with a Rosary Service at 7:30 pm.
