Age 76, of Blackman Township, passed away at his home June 8, 2018 under the loving care of his family and Great Lakes Caring Hospice. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy K. (Braman); two sons, Kenneth and Ronald Foster; eight grandchildren, Nathan (Samantha) Foster, Jacob (Jackie) Foster, Courtney Foster, Brittany Foster, Brandon Cramer, Danny Cousino, Michael Foster and Morgan Foster; five great-grandchildren, Landon, Jocelyn, Olivia, Isabella and Cooper, siblings, Phyllis Foster, Delores Hughes, Thomas (Janet) Foster, Linda (David) Scott, Jeanne (Tim) Reimers and Tina Lewis; brother-in-law, Bill Smith; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Michael,; sister, Betty Smith; grandson, Edward Foster and his parents, James E. and Phyllis Gerrine (Hendges) Foster. He served the nation in the US Navy from 1962 to 1968, retired after many years as a Senior Laboratory Technician at Eaton-Aeroquip; enjoyed working on old cars with his great mechanical ability and also was a good carpenter. Mr. Foster has been cremated. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 1:00 pm with Pastor James Haldane from the Jackson First Church of the Nazarene (JaxNaz) officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Military Honors will be given by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team.
