Age 95, of Michigan Center, passed away October 9, 2019 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. She is survived by two daughters; Jean C. Farr and Joan A. (Bruce Eaton) Farr. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 73 years; Willard C. ‘Woody” Farr in 2017, her sister; Myra June Savino and her parents; Alfred L. and Edith M. (maiden-Young) Goble. Helen was born in Brooklyn, New York October 13, 1923, growing up with friends and neighbors from nearly every culture in the world. It left her with a unique perspective and appreciation of all cultures and history of the world’s people. She had a lifelong interest in geneology and family history of her beloved Bermuda. A portion of her early life was spent in Bermuda, the island paradise instilled in her a love of that country and its people. She and her late husband were Charter Members of St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church in Michigan Center, where she served God and the church in various support roles from kitchen help to the Altar Guild through her long life. Mrs. Farr has been cremated. The family wishes all who want to join them at the Funeral Home Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 3-5 pm where memories can be recalled, hugs exchanged and stories swapped in honor and remembrance of Helen and how she touched the lives of so many people. Contributions in her memory are directed to Dahlem Environmental Education Center.
