Judith Anne (Feeney) Marshall

January 1, 1940 ~ December 3, 2018 (age 78)

Age 78, of Jackson’s Spring Arbor Township, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, December 3, 2018.  Judy was a New Year’s baby, born January 1, 1940 in Clare, MI to Cecil and Lucille (Janowiak) Feeney.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Feeney and Lucille Thatcher; and her sister, Jeanette Brock, whom Judy referred to as her “hero”.  Judy was the loving mommy to daughters, Kathryn (Jim) Herman of Pinckney, MI and Kimberly (Larry) Buhler of New Jersey; grandmother to Justin and Kayla Jehnzen; leaving as well many nieces and nephews whom she loved so much.  Also surviving are her long time partner, Dan Geohmann; his children and grandchildren.  We cannot begin to explain the great loss we will endure by her absence.  We will miss her fun, kind and easy-going ways; mostly her hugs and love!

Judy was a lifelong resident of Jackson, living in her current home for the last 50 years.  She retired from Consumers Power Company with 38 years of service, where she worked as a Customer Service Representative.  The favorite part of her job was meeting with her kind customers when they came in to personally pay their monthly utility bills.

In retirement, Judy enjoyed traveling in her motorhome, visiting new places, meeting new friends, spending time with family and trying her luck at the casinos. She loved reading, especially when joined by one of her kitties on her lap.  She brought happiness to us and all whom had the privilege of meeting her due to her caring and generous ways.  Judy loved to laugh and tease and to just be happy!

Cremation has taken place and a Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Howell Elks Lodge #2168, 2830 E. Grand River Ave., Howell, MI  48843.  A short service to honor her life will be held at 1:00 pm followed by Judy’s “party” and luncheon.  Everyone is invited to join Judy’s family to share your memories of her.  Her family asks that instead of cards or flowers that you would consider a donation in her memory to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd Suite 300, Frisco TX 75034 (www.nbcf.org) or the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 (www.dav.org).
