With deep sadness the family of Kevin McIntee, of Jackson, announce his sudden passing on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the age of 61. Kevin graduated from Vandercook Lake in 1974 as valedictorian and with a B.S. from MSU in 1978. He is survived by his sister Mary Jane (Ron), and brothers David (Jackie) and Daniel (Susan), nieces and nephews, Jessica (Joe), Nathaniel (Stephanie), Elizabeth (Morgan), Megan, Gaelen and Aidan, and grand nieces and nephew, Hazel, Julian, Henry and Kazhmere. Kevin was preceded in death by his brother William and parents Jean and Lawrence McIntee. Brother, devoted son and loving uncle, Kevin was highly intelligent with a fearsome Trivial Pursuit reputation. He doted on his nieces and nephews, making his own witty birthday cards and happily becoming everyone's favorite uncle. A serious jazz fan, his collection of recordings and books would rival any library. He did extensive research on the family history and was still avidly doing so at the time of his passing. Many of his final years were spent caring for our mother in her struggle with Alzheimer's. Kevin lived a quiet life but had a profound affect on all of us. He will be greatly missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 2 pm with Father Richard Eberle officiating. Interment St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be held at St Aidan’s Church (361 E. Grove, Michigan Center) Tuesday evening 6-8 pm. If inclined, you may make a donation to the ACLU in Kevin's name. https://www.aclu.org/donate.
