Age 75, of Dickinson, TX, formerly of Michigan, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 16, 2019 under the loving care of his family and Accredited Hospice. Victor was born at Hudson, MI on September 6, 1943, the son of Ellis “Lonnie” and Lucy Horsfall. He is survived by his wife, Carmen; three children with Ruth Lightner, Theresa (Ulrich “Uli”) Blankenstein of Rossmoor, CA, Taryn Pickell of Palmdale, CA and Nathan (Vicky) Horsfall of Hanover, MI; six grandchildren; three siblings, Carol, Rachel and David; nieces, nephews and Carmen’s family. Victor was preceded in death by his father Lonnie; mother and step-father, Lucy (Leon) Wright and a brother, Donald. Victor served in the Naval Reserve and Active Duty U.S. Navy in the 1960’s aboard the USS Warrington and USS Wyllis A. Lee. He worked at Lefere Forge and Gallant Trucking, both in Jackson; then also drove for ETV Trucking in Grand Rapids. He enjoyed fishing and gardening; was a sports enthusiast, both watching and participating in football, basketball and baseball. Victor was a member of the American Legion and Loomis Park Baptist Church, 2301 N. Elm Avenue, Jackson, MI 49201 where a service to honor his life will take place on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Rich Zawadzki officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
