Age 70, of Romulus, passed away at Michigan Medicine on Friday, July 17, 2020. Alice is survived by her beloved family, her husband of 50 years, Jimmie; three children, Shelly (Rick) Compton, Teresa Faye Sudduth and Derrick (Roxanne) Sudduth; eight grandchildren, Kristen, Jimmy, Derrick, Dazhane, De’John, Annisah, Dylon, Oween and Olajuwan; three great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Ayden and Branae; brothers, Art (Sharon) Thompson and Floyd Alan Jude, Jr.; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy, Jr.; parents, Floyd and Rebecca (Chafin) Jude; sisters, Betty Henderson and Janice. Alice was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who cherished spending time with and caring for her family. In her younger years, she spent time raising her children and caring for her husband Jimmie while he was working at General Motors. Alice truly had a gift for cooking and loved doing so for her family. After the children were grown, Alice owned and operated several small businesses; she then began a career as an independent long haul semi truck driver. When Jimmie retired from GM, he joined Alice and they teamed up to drive across the country together. Services will be held at Arthur-Day Funeral Home, 820 Fifth Street in Michigan Center on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Brother Estill Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be from Wednesday Noon until service time. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Napoleon.
