Linda Sue Smith passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 under the loving care of her family and the staff at the Henry Ford Hospice Home. Linda has journeyed into the loving arms of Jesus and her husband Doug, as well as her mother, Sarah Catherine (Wood) Lazarus.

Linda Sue Smith passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 under the loving care of her family and the staff at the Henry Ford Hospice Home. Linda has journeyed into the loving arms of Jesus and her husband Doug, as well as her mother, Sarah Catherine (Wood) Lazarus.
Linda leaves behind her two much loved sons, Brian and Trevor; their wives, Abbie and Tracy; her adored grandson, Zachary; sisters-in-law, Dolores Charles and Marylane Ryun; nieces and nephews.
Linda was a long time employee of Comerica bank where she started out as a teller and retired as administrative assistant to the bank executives. Linda enjoyed traveling, going to the casino, crocheting, clogging with the Cottonwood Cloggers, visiting local churches, dining out with family and friends. She was a loving and adoring wife, mother and grandmother. Over the years, Linda was a volunteer for or member of many worthy organizations including: Christ Lutheran Church serving in youth leadership roles teaching Sunday School, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jackson where she was a big sister to several young girls, pen pal with students at Jackson Public Schools, visiting with residents at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility, a former member of the Grass Lake Lioness Club, helping with fundraisers for the March of Dimes and American Cancer Society, teaching arts and crafts for 4-H and just willing to help those in need.
Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4250 Page Avenue in Michigan Center with visitation beginning at 10:00 am and memorial at 11:00 am. Pastor Larry Rubingh will lead the service and a luncheon will be held at the church following the services.
