Obituary

Age 74, of Jackson, passed away September 6, 2022 surrounded by her loving family while at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital.  Mary Lou was born January 15, 1948 at Jackson, the daughter of Louis and Maxine (Burke) Wegrzyn.  She was a 1966 graduate of Michigan Center High School.  She retired from International Foam and Trim after a 30 year career with them.

Mary Lou dearly loved her family and will be missed by her husband of 20 years (and companion of 34 years), Larry Angus; two children, Theresa Zaborowski of Adrian and Jack (Holly) Zaborowski of Westfield, IN; three grandchildren, Seth Swearingen, Zach and Ella Zaborowski; three step-children, Kevin, Kelly and Kim; brother, David (Barbara) Bentley of California; sister, Linda Schweda of Jackson; brother-in-law, Dennis (Suzanne) Angus of Illinois; sister-in-law, Linda (Donnie) Lowe of Jackson; many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Maxine; sister, Joanne Gilmore and brother-in-law, Jim Schweda.

Mary Lou had so many interests, hobbies and joys in her life that kept her busy all of the time.  Mary Lou and Larry enjoyed life at the lakes and camping in northern Michigan; traveling, music, baseball, football, shopping and visiting casinos.  Some of her favorite hobbies were tending to her flowers and crocheting.  Mary Lou’s greatest joy was that of spending time with her family, whether it was Larry, the children and grandchildren or siblings and nieces and nephews.  She was always the family “go to” member who was always happily there willing to help if anyone needed anything at anytime.  She will be dearly missed.

As was her request, cremation has taken place and a gathering to celebrate Mary Lou’s life will be announced at a later date.  For those who wish, contributions in her memory may be given to the American Lung Association.
