Paul met and married the love of his life, Virginia Mae Geile, while working at Emerson Electric in St. Louis Missouri. They were married 65 years until Virginia’s death in 2019. Paul’s constant companion after Virginia’s passing was Lucy, their dog. Her remains will be added to Paul’s upon cremation. Paul held several jobs in the sales industry until he accepted a position as Vice President of Union Steel in Albion Michigan. In his youth he enjoyed playing baseball and excelled in the Boy Scouts of America, he was an avid golfer with memberships at both Lakeland Hills and Duck Lake Country Club. He had a love of fishing in lakes, (Meramec River in Missouri) and graduated to Ocean fishing. He enjoyed travel with Virginia’s sister and brother in law, Betty and Rich Willeke, and family and friends, where cards and dominos were always on the agenda. Paul loved to decorate for Christmas and would always have huge boxes of candy to pass out to anyone who came by. Before moving into a care home, Paul resided in his home with the loving care of Diane Mahoney. Diane was a real blessing to the family and Paul loved her dearly. Special thanks to all who assisted Paul in his later years: Gary, Rob, Carl, LeRoy, Tom, and many special people (Lina, Angelica and Jason) he got to know over the years. Cremation has taken place and no public service will be held, as Paul was fortunate enough to have “outlived” most of his friends.
