Over the years, Robin wore many hats: he was a full time firefighter with Summit Township, after cut-backs, he was a volunteer with that department; then with Hanover and Somerset Townships correlating with the change of his residence; he worked with Conrail as a fireman engineer; State of Michigan Department of Corrections as fire safety inspector for Michigan prisons; he then transferred to the Michigan Occupational and Safety Administration (MIOSHA) as an inspector, retiring from there in 2020 as a Safety Health Manager. Along with his other vocations, he was owner and operator of Rob’s Safety CO2 and Rob’s Maintenance Service. His favorite occupation was that of Grandpa, a position he truly excelled at and enjoyed. Some of his hobbies and pastimes were cruising and traveling, with golf and hunting among his favorites. Robin was also a woodworker and handyman; he took an active role in the building of Ellen and his forever home in Leslie. As was his request, cremation has taken place and a gathering to celebrate his well-lived life will be held when weather and restrictions allow.
