Ruth E (Musbach) Hammond

Obituary

Age 85, of Jackson,  passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the Henry Ford Hospice Home, surrounded by her loving family.  Ruth was born in Jackson, Michigan  Sunday, December 15, 1935 to the late David G. and Thema (Lammon) Musbach.  She is survived by two children; son Chris (Lisa Wills) Hammond and daughter; Lori (Roger) Comer, six grandchildren; Niki, Kirstie, Haleigh, Katerina, Zoe and Brent, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years; Sam Hammond who passed in 2001 and two brothers; Bill and David Musbach.  Ruth was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and had worked as a Manager at Margaret Mary’s in Jackson.  She enjoyed baking, cooking, caring for the family and took pride in her garden, with violets being her favorite.  She loved the scent of lavender.  She and her husband were Charter Members of Our Lady of Fatima Parish where funeral services will be held Monday, June 27, 2022 at 11 am with Father  Satheesh Alphonse, SdC officiating.  Cremation will follow.  The family will receive friends at the church Monday from 10 am until service time.  The family wishes to thank the staff at Henry Ford Hospice Home for their tender loving care and direct any memorials in Ruth’s memory be donated to that worthy organization.
