Obituary

Age 73, of Jackson, passed away Friday June 10, 2022 at the Henry Ford Hospice Home.  She was born in Detroit, Michigan on Wednesday, November 17, 1948 to the late Glenn Arthur and Margaret Irene (maiden-Walker) Pudil Sr. She is survived by nine children; James Armstrong, Todd Armstrong, Rob Armstrong, Margaret (Steve) Avery, Robert Taylor, Tamara Taylor, Barbara Taylor, Patricia Cope and Robin Eaton, 26 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren, two sisters; Ruth Fall and Cheryl Prior, one brother; Glenn (Vickie) Pudil Jr., many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dale G. Armstrong in 2007, three brothers; Dale Weaver, Jerry Weaver and Chuck Pudil.  Shirley was a long time motor route driver for the Jackson Citizen Patriot.  She treasured her time spent with her family on travel, swim trips, biking and any activity that they could do together.  She was a fan of NASCAR racing and attended the Fellowship Baptist Church where a Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 beginning at 11:00 am with a memorial service led by Pastor Dan White.  A luncheon and time of fellowship at the church will follow the memorial. Contributions in her memory are directed to the Fellowship Baptist Church (3200 Reed Road, Clark Lake, MI 49234).
