Theodore "Ted" D. Kloack

April 23, 1934 ~ August 31, 2020 (age 86)


Age 86, of Napoleon Township, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home under the loving care of his family and hospice caregivers.  Ted is survived by his beloved family; his wife of 30 years, Vicky; son, David (Kim) Kloack; daughter, Lisa Kloack (Mike Paul); grandsons, Jason (Jordan) Kloack and Brian (Shara) Kloack; great-grandchildren, Gracelynn and Antwon; step-daughters, Tracy (Doug) Tysse, Jenny (Terry) Callaghan, Polly (Jim) Zaborowski and Angie Corwin (Allen Cole); step-grandchildren, Sami, Andrew, Brett (Hayley), Lauren, Dylan, Danielle, Amanda, Victoria (Mitchell) and Mitchell; sisters, Barb Lipko and Susan (Jerry) Budd; sister-in-law, Marlene Kloack; many nieces, nephews and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Kloack and Bernice Stahl; brother, Michael Kloack and brother-in-law, Steve Lipko.  Ted was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict.  His fascination with computers led him to excel as a programmer and worked for several companies in that field: Clark Equipment, Jackson Drop Forge, the City of Jackson, Boris Systems in East Lansing and as a contractor for Northern Michigan Exploration Company (NOMECO).  He was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #3634 in Michigan Center.  He was one of the last living members of the Michigan Center Rat Pack.  Ted enjoyed maintaining his yard and vehicles, computers, golf, music, boating on Wolf Lake and being a snowbird in Florida; he was a big fan of the Red Wings and NASCAR.  His greatest love was time with family; his father and son time as well as attending events of his grandchildren, especially their sporting events.  A public visitation following Covid guideline restrictions will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 4, 2020 from 6 to 8 pm.  A private family service with military honors will be held and cremation will follow the services.  For those who wish, contributions in Ted’s memory to the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home would be appreciated.
